6. Betancourt, SS

McGehee not in the lineup, Kotsay in the lineup. Let the speculation about that roster move begin. I actually like this lineup a lot. Hart has been slumping, and McGehee is horrible. Niether playing makes this a great lineup. Gamel hitting 5th will hopefully help too.

That's a victory. Expanding on the above.

Of the now 35 innings the Brewers have not led on this trip, they actually been BEHIND in every single inning. They ave trailed 31 of those 35 by at least 2 runs. So only being down 1 run at the end of an inning has only happened 4 times on this trip. 2 of them tonight and all of them in Minnesota.

This team is so frustrating. This is exactly why all the "oh we are still in first talk" was so dumb. We should have been up by a lot more than 3 games and RRR/DM's sucktastic bench/managerial decisions cost us.

Just because we were in first didn't mean we shouldn't be maximizing our talents.

Yuck.

So I guess we can't use the "its the Yankees" or" its the Red Sox" excuse anymore?

They just seem so mentally fragile on the road. Starters give up runs early and the hitters just kind of go through the motions.

I was chastised the other night for suggesting that RR close the doors for a little post game meeting. I'm not suggesting that he needs to read them the riot act but something needs to be said to at least try and get them to relax and start playing decent baseball again.

If RR doesn't have it in him then they need one of the players to step up because this team just looks shellshocked right now.

Now it makes a bit more sense. Perhaps you were prophetic earlier, I don't know, but at that time it was exactly 3 innings into a bad game after a very good series against the Twins. It's now 3 games later and a shakeup may be necessary.
