Considering all the pre-season hype Zack's been pretty disappointing. If it wasn't for the Cardinals fading fast there wouldn't be much optimism surrounding the Brewers right now. They certainly aren't an upper-echelon team yet, which isn't surprising but not particularly encouraging.

Why is Sedar sending Hart on a shallow ball to Swisher down 5? I know The Black Hole is up next but still.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

Words cannot describe how dumb this team is on the bases.

Agreed. Really want to know if this is RRR or the players. Can't help to think its RRR. That wasn't even close and I feel like even McGehee would have been sent on that.

Kind of an interesting tweet on Greinke.

BobKlap Always have to wonder about Greinke's anxiety level in Yankee Stadium: he now has a career 11.29 ERA in the Bronx

Not to get too armchair psych about it, but it almost seems like Greinke is more fatalistic about some of these outings than anything. This outing was not much different than the one againt the Cubs. It's like he throws the pitches and just sort of accepts what happens. That could be way off, and maybe it just comes down to him missing his spots, but he certainly does seem locked in to pitching a certain way and just letting the chips fall where they may. Right now those chips are being ejected from teh area of home plate at high velocity.

Gamel has seen good pitches to hit early in all 3 ABs. He looks different than the last time we saw him on this level where it seemed like he was always waiting for the perfect pitch with the bat on his shoulder. It's only 3 ABs, but he's been aggressive and hit the ball hard 3 times in a row.

Pitch selection isn't really about taking pitches, it's about looking for pitches in your hitting zones and making good contact. I actually despise it when our hitters let a get me over fastball right down the middle go past them in early in ABs. The difference we see between our line-up and the Sox or Yankees is that those line-ups are veteran heavy and typically only swing at good pitches to hit, like this Teixeira HR... dang it. At any rate, they tend to make you throw them strikes and hit them hard if you miss.
