Zack Greinke

7-2, 4.77

Greinke is finding his rhythm again as he pitched seven innings and surrendered just one earned run. His fastball had more life and his changeup mixed up the opposition, helping him fan 10 batters for the second straight game.

Weeks 2B

Morgan CF

Braun LF

Fielder 1B

McGehee 3B

Hart RF

Gamel DH

Betancourt SS

Lucroy C

There'll probably be debate over Fielder vs. Gamel as the 1B, but I'm just glad Kotsay isn't starting over Gamel. Very competitive lineup compared to the ones used in Boston.

This is the big one in this series. If we can get this one tonight, we have a real good shot at 2 of 3. I honestly like our lineup better offensively and we have the starting pitching advantage in 2 of the 3 games. Hoping we don't go in intimidated, but I am very optimistic about this series.

Gamel probably won't be seeing any starts vs. lefties will he? I'd bet RR DH's McGehee vs. Sabathia and lets Wilson play 3rd. Were Gamels splits vs. lefties always so poor before this year? For some reason I thought he was nearly the same hitter vs. lefties. Maybe that's when he was in A ball or something

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

here's a novel idea...put out 3rd best hitter in the 8 hole, and put our worst hitter, in the 5 spot.

ah well, we have been winning, so we cant really call for RR head just yet ;p he IS ned yost 2.0 though.

if YO or wolf, or shaun were pitching, i'd say i think we win.....with greinke i have no clue, i never do. might be a no hitter, might be 10er in 5ip, with 10k's.

if we can bat .250 with RISP today, i'd bet we can score 6-8 runs.

I would have liked to see Gamel at 1B, just to see how he looks there, but more importantly, let's hope he continues his recent hot streak and takes advantage of that short porch in RF.

Greinke, this is the type of game you're here to win. Show us that "Cy Young stuff" tonight. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I kind of like Lucroy in the 9 spot. Gives you someone there who can turn the lineup over for one of the best leadoff hitters in the game right now.

Go Crew!!

Wait? You think Betancourt is our 3rd best hitter? Our did you mean Lucroy? Either way you're wrong. Our 5 best hitters against RHP are Weeks, Morgan, Braun, Fielder, and Hart. Then it's Lucroy. They should hit 1-6 when we don't have a DH.

I would have liked to have seen Counsell in this line-up. I guess that we are saving him for September.

I like the Ned 2.0 description of Roenicke. I find them to be eerily similar. Strange game time decisions, strange personal decisions, and a lack of self-assessment seem to be the hallmarks of both regimes.
