The outfield in Helena is just brutal! Both at the plate and in the field.

There were 3 plays (non plays) out there, that didn't show up in the scorebook, that led to runs.

Time to start rotating the plethora of 1b / catchers to left field.

So he throws on guy out at home one time, but the other is a lollipop throw that doesn't make the cutoff man. I don't know of any one that thought he had a cannon for an arm, but more in the sufficient range.

 

So one would think that an odd throw that can't make the cutoff man might be more of the ball slipping out of his hand. But who knows, we can't see the actual play...
