Timber Rattlers Autographs

Had a big signing day yesterday at the T-Rats game.

If any of you want T-Rats autos, the way to go about it is Sunday afternoons. After every Sunday home game, the players are all lined up after the game and all you do is take your items to them to sign. They pretty much stay until everyone has got what they wanted. Best thing is, every player comes out and signs, no prima donnas at this level....YET! lol

Piece of cake, and the players are always pretty friendly. Yesterday, I gave a lot of them 8x10 photos that I had taken earlier in the year. The majority of them always comment on the photos I have them sign, so I had copies made, and handed them to each player as we went through their line to get more photos signed. Anyway, we got Cody Hawn 3x, Mike Walker 3x, Tyler Roberts 2x, Jimmy Nelson 4x, Nick Shaw, Chris Dennis and TJ Mittelstaedt. Was a little bummed that Austin Ross and Tyler Thornburg moved up this week as I had photos to give them and get signed as well. I will probably send them on to Brevard County in hopes that they will send them back. (Obviously I will include postage paid envelopes...) I don't have anything signed by either of them yet, so the timing really sucked as far as I am concerned...

Did get some great photos of Greg Holle, Dell Howell, Hawn, Dennis, Mittelstaedt, Walker in the throwback 70's Brewer unis for future signings...

I never got Maverick Lasker last year, so I will be making a good attempt at seeing him pitch so I can get some photos for him to sign later in the season. Also don't have Matt Miller yet, so I'll need to get to the games they start soon. Miller pitches tonight, but I can't make it.

Anyway, my kids really enjoy getting the signatures, so if you have kids that like to meet the players, Sunday afternoones are awesome!

I would consider trading signed photos for bobbleheads I need if anyone is interested, but for me, it isn't about selling them off or anything, we just get them to have them...

Things like that are really nice if you're content those "less desired" autographs. I don't really follow the Rattlers too closely except to maybe see how our top prospects are doing or to see how a rehab appearance went for a guy. But being a recent grad from UW-Madison, I did collect some autographs from the football and basketball teams over the past few years. I have a basketball team signed poster from 2007-08 and 2008-09 (07-08 was a good one to get since they won the Big Ten title), and I also have a helmet signed by nearly all the key contributors for last year's Big Ten Champion football team. The helmet might be worth a little something (but probably not much), and the posters are probably practically worthless, but being an autograph collector and a Badger fan, those things were cool to get (and also very easy relative to hunting down Brewers autographs).

Sent out photos to be signed to Kyle Heckathorn a few weeks ago, haven't gotten them back yet.

 

Sent out photos to Tyler Thornburg and Austin Ross about 2 weeks ago, still nothing returned.

Was really hoping to get these back... I'm sure they are leading hectic lives with the call-ups, so there is still hope.

Let me know if you get back from Thornburg. I've been delaying this but I've wanted to get a ball signed by Thornburg. Every year my Fantasy Baseball League is named after what we figure is the breakthrough player on the Rattlers roster. This year it was Thornburg, last year was Bucci and the first year was Peralta. This year I planned on getting a trophy with a ball holder in it and getting a Thornburg signed ball. Should have got it when he was in Appleton but I guess I'm just lazy.

I'm pretty sure your going to be right. Even though its a small sample size, he's 0 for 7 on SCN. There were items sent to his college, the Rattlers, Brevard.
