hoping to get the broom out here....

maybe if we sweep them and they play bad in their next series, ppl can actually afford tickets to the brewers@twins series...

(standing room only is all i could find)

I'm confused by the lack of a Sunday B-Squad lineup, but will take it. Hopefully Narvdog can have a good outing today and we can break up Pavano's hot streak.

Weeks 4 Morgan 8 Braun 7 Fielder 3 McGehee 5 Hart 9 Betancourt 6 Lucroy 2 Narveson 1

When will this come to an end? I know Hart hasn't been the best lately, but I have to think he would offer more protection for Prince and more production in that 5 hole. I would like to know how many runners Casey has left on base this year. Anyone here has access to those stats?

Hart has been more than fine lately. Hart over the past week: .285/.545/.571, the past 14 days .216/.431/.432, the past 28 days .280/.404/.500. Basically Hart has been a monster since he got back into a groove after his injury and recovery.

McGehee has quietly hit safely in 14 of his last 17 games, but he's just not hitting for any power at all, with only 3 XBH in the past month-plus. I think so far it really hasn't hurt Prince to much, with only a couple of teams really avoiding him the whole series. I wouldn't be surprised to see Casey at 5 through the remainder of the first half personally. I wouldn't think you can go into the second half of the season still waiting for him to "turn it around".

Man the Twins lineup is brutal today. Going to be really disappointing if we don't win.

CF Ben Revere - .607 OPS

2B Alexi Casilla - .684 OPS

RF Michael Cuddyer - .823 OPS

3B Danny Valencia - .626 OPS

1B Luke Hughes - .630 OPS

LF Jason Repko - .436 OPS

SS Tsuyoshi Nishioka - .485 OPS

C Drew Butera - .469 OPS

RHP Carl Pavano - .359 career OPS

Very quietly since his line went from .231/.290/.333 the game before the hit safely in 14 of 17 happened to .230/.283/.321 today.

I'm not entirely sure that lineup is much better than AAA Nashville. I don't actually recall ever seeing a lineup that bad this late in the season, even including Sunday b-lineups.

Wow their 4 hitter avg .216 and no one hitting 6-9 over the .200 mark.

Narveson pounding the strike zone against the leadoff man. Good strategy today.

Gomez would have had that.

He has an OPS over 2.000 for this series, DFA Morgan and start Gomez

I don't like Gomez, and I sure don't like his bat, but I can definitely appreciate what he does with the glove. Morgan's a good CF, Gomez is fantastic.

I didn't say it was a satisfying stretch! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
