My enthusiasm is tempered because Loe will be facing Mauer to lead off the 8th.

Hawkins was warming last inning. It was probably just to clean up after Wolf in the 7th....but i'll continue to keep my fingers crossed and then be disappointed.

I know what you're saying mtrebs. It seemed like, for a brief moment when the team was on its hot streak, that they had turned some sort of corner in terms of "maturing" in the sense that just getting the result was always in focus. It seems like they've regressed from that. There is a sort of cold-blooded, just-getting-it-done vibe to certain teams. The Brewers simply aren't there. Honestly, I don't know that they ever have been in teh past 25 years. That goodness for having CC in 2008.

Nothing more cold blooded than a full count two out double to take the lead.

Prince you the man!!

Why not walk the bases loaded to face Casey there?

Didn't want to put the lead man in scoring position, and could set up a lefty-lefty matchup. I don't agree with it, but that was the reasoning.

Typically you don't walk the go ahead run into scoring position, but with McGehee coming up in that spot, I'd probably have opted to put Prince on and make the guy who can't drive runs in make you pay.

I get the reasoning. I was more refering to the fact that Prince is prob. more likely to hit a double than Casey get a single. IMO

Twins announcers just said they were surprised to see Loe in the 8th instead of Hawkins based on his 6 losses and 5+ era.

Glad we aren't the only ones in this world to think this. Only difference is we aren't surprised any more.

Loe vs, RH bats is nice. Looking good tonight.

Mauer's a lefty, for what it's worth.
