Ridiculous 21st century managing-get your long reliver in there, preserve his health, and give the team a chance to stay in the game. How do you feel if you are the other players and see the manager just give the game away in the first?

So want the starter pulled in one inning or less in two out of three games?

What's funny is that Yo didn't pitch nearly as badly as the score would indicate. He wasn't good, but several good pitches were hit. This was especially the case with the batters leading up to the homer.

How do the players feel if the manager gives up on the team's ace with the team down a few runs in the first, especially when he has a history of settling down after the 1st inning?

Maybe I am wrong but the Brewers seem to implode fairly frequently when they are on national TV.
It does seem like they don't typically do well on national TV, but then again the games are likely on nationally because they are against good teams.

I don't agree, the only good pitch that was a hit was Pedrorias's little flare to Right Center... everything else was thigh high (or higher) and nearly right down the middle of the plate. His FB velocity is good, but beyond that he's been pretty terrible.

Yes, pull him in the first inning. 40+ pitches increases the chances of getting injured.

Now he's "settled down" and the game is over. I'm sure the players would appreciate having a different pitcher in there who can keep the game closer.

Tony Plush is best Melvin's trade ever... All the MLB value for a prospect I complained about from the time he was drafted, hated the Dykstra pick.
