Marcum was sort of pulling at his left thigh as he walked off the field. Maybe he strained something?
Looked like something happened when he ran to cover home on a WP/PB.

Also, that first strike to Kotsay looked outside. I really hope we're not fighting the ump tonight.

So who do we have in AAA stretched out to start?
No one any of us wants to see start in the MLB. I'd take Peralta over anyone in AAA. DiFelice is getting stretched out currently though, and he's been good.
DiFelice is a ROOGY unless he's magically able to get lefties out now.

The most likely scenario is Estrada goes back to the rotation and they call up another reliever. It could be DiFelice, but then we'd have 2 right handed specialists and 1 left handed specialist... not exactly optimum bullpen configuration.

It would be funny if they called up Braddock. Seeing as they just demoted him for disciplinary reasons. Problem with Estrada is he can probably only cover 4 innings at this point, but I guess if they call up McClendon he could cover some innings too.

Are the Nationals still sellers at 33-36, 5.5 out of the Wild Card? The Brewers could try and get Coffey back if he is available. They are going to need to get some sort of bullpen help.

Good thing we sent Estrada down to keep him stretched out, oh wait.
+1 on that. I never understood why we kept him in the pen. I'm sure we'll start him anyway if we have to. He won't be able to go deep though.

Yea, it seemed like they were trying to reward Estrada by keeping him up here, but it was better for the team to keep him stretched out in the minors.

I didn't have any problem with keeping Estrada around and I'm sure he didn't either...

This might get ugly.

I agree about Loe, though RR doesn't seem to view him as a ROOGY, I was posting from RR's perspective. However, looking at the truth of bringing up DeFilice, that would be the hardest bullpen to manage in the majors.
