I'm not as big of a Loe hater as most around here, but after about 5 pitches one can tell if he has his good stuff or not. He doesn't have it tonight. On the other hand, when he is good, he's good. That's not the kind of guy you want to pitch 3 out of 4 days in close games, though.

Brewers fans acting like pompous jerks at wrigley, no better than scrub fans at MP. Sad to see.
How so?

Ostentatious celebrating, rubbing it in to surrounding fans, I think more class and reserve is in order when you are in someone else's park. (Probably an embellishment to say as bad as Cubs fans at MP, they weren't that beligerant or entitled-looking.)

Are you watching a different broadcast? All I saw was smiles from Brewer fans. I would be smiling too.

Loe cannot be the 8th inning guy anymore. He just serves em on a platter. When I think of good postseason teams, I think of filthy 8th inning pitchers, and the Brewers certainly don't have that though I'd like to see Braddock in that role.

we got out of the inning with no run, but that was a terrible inning by Loe

Wrong, there was one run. Could've been more were it not for good defense.

Hawkins and his 0.52 ERA would look good in the setup role.

I think Saito is the only one RR might bump Loe for (even though that's not logical thinking). That's why it's so crucial he comes back healthy. Once he's back in the swing, hopefully he gets the 8th, with Dillard, Hawkins, Braddock and Loe playing situations in the 6th and 7th.

Yeah, that would be the ideal situation.

That still scares me because he's in his early 40s and probably shouldn't be pitching multiple days in a row. But if it's the 8th, he will be out there no matter what, which would probably lead to fatigue and probable injury. I've been saying use a combo of guys depending on the situation.
