Just saw some replays. Does anyone have a clue what Carpenter was talking to the ump about after Prince's home run? Was he complaining about how he needs to find a way to explain his poor outing to his son?
I'm a bit out of the loop, what's this deal with Carpenter and his son?

Edit: Just remembered. Hopefully his son is okay, I would hate for his child to be as scarred as Prince's home run ball.

chicken, is she is labor?

Not yet, smaller contractions. Probably going tomorrow for sure. What a great day that will be a new member of the family and a sweep of the Classies. Priceless!

I am loving this hot hand a SS platoon. Less is more when it comes to Yuni.

I would guess he was questioning the strikezone on the pitches before the homerun. It was a small strikezone tonight, but it was being called that way both ways.

I do feel out of the loop and it is bugging me. What is the story behind this? Wasn't able to watch the game but great to see the Brewers win the series. Hopefully they can do it again tomorrow and be in 1st in the division.

The 2-2 pitch was just an inch or two outside. Molina held the ball there expecting the call. The next pitch was jacked. Carpenter probably thought he should have been done with Prince but was now burned with a home run.

You are right on Robin...Carpenter was interviewed on Cardinals Live and said he asked the ump where the previous pitched missed. He said the ump took exception to it, but they were fine by the end of the inning.

He may have asked the ump how he was going to explain the 2-2 pitch to his son.
