SCOUTING REPORT:

Gant

Elmore is SS from Bloomington, Indiana, with a medium build

at 5'7", 155 pounds. He hits from a narrow stance, keeps his hands

inside, and makes good contact. He has a level swing that had good pop,

and hit hard line drives to all fields. In the field, he had a smooth

transfer, and good arm actions from shortstop. He has an excellent arm

for his age throwing 79 mph across the infield with good carry. On the

mound, he throws from a 3/4 arm slot, and is a bit stiff mechanically,

but he is balanced throughout and stays in-line. He has good life on

his fastball, with a late, hard tail at times at 79 mph. He also throws

a hard change with sink at 69 mph. Gant is a young looking player with

a lot of skills already. As he grows and gets stronger, he will

definitely be a high level college prospect.
