It's not about off days anymore. It's about a guy that doesn't want to pitch to another guy. Even on games that Lucroy has caught him, Wolf gets visibly annoyed by having to call Lucroy out to the mound so often. So even though they have pitched to each other it hasn't been very smooth.

Question-if we are in the playoffs, and Wolf is pitching and Lucroy isn't in the lineup, will you or others be upset?

Obviously he should be out there in the playoffs, so yeah I think pretty much everyone would be upset. Really, I just don't understand Randy Wolf. Not sure why he has such a big problem with Lucroy, but none of the other pitchers do. I'm sure he could suck it up in a playoff situation though. The things is that it was a lot less of an issue when Kottaras was catching Wolf, because he can actually hit unlike Nieves. If Kottaras was still the backup, I don't think anyone would care.

Its obviously a long way from now so we don't know, but at this point I really don't think we would see Lucroy in the lineup with Wolf on the mound. I'll try to make today the last time I complain about it until playoff time, or he is still sitting later on in the season and we really need our best guys in the lineup

Dont most teams use a 3 man rotation even in a 7 game series anyway?
A lot do. Maybe some teams will use 4 starters early on in the playoffs though. Wolf wouldn't get many starts throughout a postseason though. Greinke, Gallardo, and Marcum would start most of the games.

I can't believe I am going to say this but we have to cheer for the scrubs to beat the cards.
Yeah, it's a hard thing to do that's for sure. At this point though, the Cubs aren't any kind of threat so we have to pull for them. We'll just say root against the Cards to make it sound better.

Glad RR has embraced the NyjMo platoon...he should always start vs. RHP.

This would've been the perfect night for Lucroy to start with Wolf. I get he needs a day off out of 5 so normally a Wolf day is as good as any, but if they do need to work together at some point, there's no Braun and we're coming off an off day he should be out there.
