Hockey Jerseys

Ever since my daughter started playing hockey a few years ago I have started to get into collecting hockey jerseys. I thought I'd post a couple of mine and see if anyone else has any interesting jerseys

they can post.

 

The first is a custom jersey that Brewerfan's own Colbyjack help design. He did all the hard work in designing the logo. The pictures don't do justice to how well they turned out.

Is that Tornado's jersey for a league? Its really well designed and appealing

 

I just have the standard Chicago Blackhawks home (white), away (red), and black alternate, the black alternate means a lot to me because it's a Chris Chelios replica that I got it signed while he was still a Blackhawk, and he's my favorite player

I have a bunch of hockey jerseys. 11 different Red Wings ones, Yzerman, Federov, Chelios, Konstantinov, Larionov, me, and some odd colored one. I also have 2 Penguins, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto from the nhl. The best one is from some russian league( I've been told) it's black, purple and red with a T and a backwards R inside a big gear-like thing. The stripes have gear teeth as well. I have that badger one too, trwi7.

Chelios used to be my favorite player, before he signed with Detroit. That would be like Favre signing with the Vikings.

 

Actually, take that back.....that would be like Favre GROWING UP IN GREEN BAY, playing a Hall of Fame career with the Packers, and signing with the Vikings.

Actually, it was something we did for fun. My daughter's hockey league is named Tornado Youth Hockey and they wear LA Kings jerseys with their own logo. My daughter likes her jerseys, but she thinks they are a bit ordinary.

 

Patrick (colbyjack) was kind enough to come up with a new logo for us and I laid out the jersey. A company out of Canada made 12 sublimation (dyed) jerseys for us at a cost of 90.00, which I thought was a great deal. The hard part was finding 8 other people who wanted to purchase one... though I must say everyone who's seen one in person now seems to want one.

Sounds interesting! I really know nothing about Russian hockey, but they do have some really cool jerseys.

 

One that I didn't take a picture of that I have is a 1980 Mark Johnson away jersey. It is my favorite jersey, even if it's not terribly unique.

I love the Hartford Whalers jersey and logo. I've the home white jersey, wish I had bought the away green and blue ones too, what a regret.

The picture is a game worn, but it's not mine. There weren't too many pictures online to represent the jersey I have.

 

I was only showing that I have that particular model in my collection.

 

I do have a cool story behind how I got my Admirals jersey though. I was at a game with my uncle and we got a private tour of the Admirals offices and locker room after a game. Phil Whitliff gave me the jersey from the team's "overstock", if you will. So, I carry the jersey with me out of the locker room and have about a dozen fans asking for my autograph. Quebec Nordiques - white, elephant playing hockey logo

Vancouver Canucks - black, 1990s skating hockey puck logo

Chicago Blackhawks - red

St. Cloud State - white, Montreal Canadiens wannabe logo on front

 

The 90s Canucks is my favorite hockey logo ever, I wish they never would have changed it. I get lots of comments when I wear it.

my brother always wore a Konstantinov jersey to every Badger game. it was one from his Russian team. when he'd see the players in the bar, they all already knew him as the "russian hockey jersey guy."
