June 1st, 2011 MLE's

I was wondering what kind of line Komatsu would project to have if he was playing for the Brewers this season, so I looked up his MLE's. I listed a few other guys as well.

Erik Komatsu: .269/.346/.359 18:18 BB:K (In CF, that would be a pretty dang good line. No way that line unseats the founder of the plushdamentalist movement, at least not this season.)

Taylor Green: .213/.291/.352 16:29 (That is a bench player folks.)

Mat Gamel: .269/.326/.427 14:36 (This is worse than McGehee's 2010 .801 OPS, but still an above average MLB 3B hitting line, especially in 2011. Edit: too bad he can't field and plays 1B now.)

Caleb Gindl: .206/.280/.291 13:33 (2010 MLE's: ,229/.294/.333, he is not healthy)

Brendan Katin: .205/.264/.498 8:44 (Another usable bench player, but he is not healthy of course)

Eric Farris: ..234/.281/.315 9:18 (Josh Wilson-esque and Maysonet is worse.)

Brett Carroll/Jordan Brown/Brandon Jones are all about: .232/.299/.341 13:38 (Puts Gindl to shame, no one else though http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif)

I want to re-emphasize that these are projections for what the player would do in the major leagues TODAY. Kreiger, Kjeldgaard and Dennis are not worth doing at this time. Unfortunately, neither are Kentrail, D'Vo, and Scooter. Schafer does not have enough AB's, and really, neither do the others quite yet. Just a fun exercise.
