Matt Cain

3-3 | 3.53

Cain gave up four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five Tuesday night against the Marlins but took the loss. The three walks tied a season high for Cain, and consecutive walks in the third proved to be his undoing.

Yovani Gallardo

6-2 | 4.35

Gallardo is on a roll. After allowing at least four earned runs in five consecutive starts from April 10-May 2, he's 4-0 with a 1.67 ERA in his last four starts. A quicker tempo helped Gallardo get on track.

It's so great to come off of a victory by Wolf or Narveson when they are followed up by Gallardo or Greinke. Every 5 days from here on out if we win two out of the three games that Gallardo, Greinke, and Marcum pitch and win half the games that Wolf and Narveson pitch we'll end up with 94 wins. I think that has to be the goal, if not the expectation for this team.

The timing of Hart being ill could've been worse. Hart only has 1 hit in 12 PA vs. Cain in his career. Typical vs. batter small sample size, but I can imagine him having a tough time with his slider. Gallardo's been much better lately, feel good about this one. WEAR THE WHITES!

Got the game on my IPhone and after I eat lunch, I'll be cleaning the garage while listening to Uke and Cory.....what could be better? Other than being at the stadium, but it's 99 and perfect in San Antonio, so I'll take what I've got!

I feel good about the hit and run with Morgan at the plate as opposed to Gomez, that's for sure. Worked out well there. Would be nice to get to Cain early!
