Chris Narveson

2-3 | 4.00

Narveson snapped a personal three-game losing streak by avoiding the sort of big inning that had marred his previous starts. He missed the Padres during their recent trip to Milwaukee.

That lineup is fake.

It would only be real if Loe was starting.

The lineup clearly needs an 8th inning starter, which is clearly Loe.

Edit: Can we call this "crazy elf talk" instead of just "crazy talk"? That's one of my favorite Onion phrases of all time. Pre-onion.com to boot!

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Can we dispense with the entire first page of the IGT being posts moaning about the lineup and skip straight to the actual game, or is that just crazy talk?

Deal. How about this:

Prettiest lineup I've seen yet this year.

Another stellar Weeks at bat to start the game. Take the first pitch strike, swing at the next two out of the zone for a 3 pitch K. He's looked really bad leading off the last two games here.

It's really nice of the Padres to really hose us with the start time of this game. It really makes me mad actually.

The Brewers go out of their way to have travel day afternoon games for virtually every single series, even when the visiting team is just traveling to Chicago or St Louis. Here we are in our furthest destination of the year, and we get to play a night game. Starting at 9pm local time. Our next game starts in 22 hours and we have a 3 hour game to play and a 4 hour flight afterwards. I'm glad the Brewers are classy when we pick the times but if teams aren't going to return the favor, we might as well just start having all night games as well.

And yet another failed attempt with a man on third and one out. You just can't let those chances just fall away. It's almost stunning when we DON'T fail in that situation. Maybe Casey will get a big hit...
