Love Rock for calling out Wolf there. "It's tough for a catcher to call a game for a pitcher that can't consistently throw any of his 4 pitches for strikes." Thank you, and I hope the people that claim Rock is a homer and apologist were listening.

He's still a homer for catchers.

Also, why let Wolf hit here? He's been getting hit hard, walking batters, and he has 91 pitches. No way he goes more than one more inning.
He has given up 3 hits and 1 of them was a slow chopper to a terrible shortstop. He has been walking guys but lets not say he is getting hit hard

Yeah...probably true.

i'm not sure why people are siding with lucroy over wolf considering the history of both players.

Don't buy that rationale. Do you see any of the other 4 starters call Lucroy out to the mound nearly as much as you do with Wolf? There's a trend here.

Seeing the actual location of pitches really makes me appreciate pitchers more. That strikeout pitch on Hart looked nothing like a strike because we see where the catcher catchers it, not where it crosses home plate. Sure enough, right on the outside corner.

Are you watching on TV? He has been giving up some rockets tonight...as well as one slow chopper to a crappy shortstop. Even a lot of the outs have been drilled...

Narveson has in the past if I recall.

To be fair to Wolf. Narveson at times has had a problem working with Lucroy as well.

So our 2 worst starting pitchers have a problem with our catcher for whatever reason. They should probably be looking at themselves, as they simply aren't good enough to miss their spots (it seemed like that's why Narveson was ticked off at Lucroy for that one game).

My guess is you would surely recall if it was nearly as frequent as Wolf does.

Wolf and Lucroy don't normally work together. Clearly they aren't on the same page with the strategy. I don't mind the mound visits if it means we're not getting shelled on bad pitches / mis-communications. I would be interested to have a reporter dig into what is actually going on post-game.

Do we send Wolf back out there next inning? He is over 100 pitches...
