MLB Gameday reported that Greinke threw a 67 mph curveball to Tabata. Can anyone watching verify this? I have read that he did this in KC.
That is correct. He made Tabata look funny on it as well.
Gave one to the Padres in his last start as well (to Brad Hawpe?). He said after the game he does it every once and awhile because the fans like it.

He actually said that? That is awesome. And honestly it's not that bad of a pitch in certain situations.

Didn't he say he threw a couple upper 50's curveballs when he was in KC? I think he pretty much gave the same reasoning given above, basically just for the heck of it.

I think I remember watching him throw one 59mph once with KC.

He did say that the fans like it, but I don't think he said that's WHY he throws it. I do like it though.

Man, this 12+ pitch at-bat is dragging up Zach's PC

Yeah, I honestly think it's just because he had the no-hitter going. Now that it's gone, he'll just go after guys since he has a 5 run lead.

I think it was Walker having a really really good at-bat more than anything else. It's not like Zack was pitching around him.

That was a pretty impressive AB by Walker. The pitch he hit out wasn't a bad one, either.

There were a couple borderline pitches that could've been called strike 3 in that AB, but what else is new this series.
