Kevin Correia

5-3 | 3.25

Correia's next start is on the road, and that's a good thing, as he's won all five starts away from PNC Park. Correia has a 1.56 ERA on the road and has pitched at least six innings in all but one of his eight season starts.

Zack Greinke

1-1 | 5.40

Greinke dazzled in the early innings of his winning Miller Park debut before running out of steam in the fifth and sixth. The Brewers figure those late innings will improve as Grienke gains arm strength.

Just typing in RHP Zack Greinke as I edit the lead post makes me happy. Plus it's not a total Sunday lineup! The Major League Moment kids don't get ripped off with a Kotsay or Nieves. Let's go Brewers!
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

After that last debacle of a road trip, it would be so nice to complete the sweep today. Going 5-1 against SD and PIT at home doesn't prove a whole lot, but neither does losing to Atlanta and St. Louis on the road. 19-21 just seems a lot better than 18-22 too.

Still wondering how many horrible games Gomez needs to have at the plate to be permanently dropped from the 2 spot. It seems infinite at this point.

I think it will happen soon, like one or two more games. I wouldn't mind seeing Counsell in the 2 spot once a week, Kotsay in the 2 spot once a week, and Hart or Lucroy there the rest of the time, but Gomez just isn't cut out for that spot.

can we chat about the "safety squeeze" or do I have to go into yesterday's IGT?

Hart was clearly out, and being called safe, I think, has muted most of the criticism of that asinine decision.

First of all, when did that actually become a play? You trade the risk of a pitch-out and a missed / popped up bunt against the disadvantageous play at the plate.

Second, if you can't trust Counsel to put the bunt down, there is no one on the roster you can.

C) Would Hart have broken away from third if it wasn't a 50' bunt?

I am loving this Gallardo Greinke bookended series.

I am not sure what was so asinine about the decision. It has been a play for a long time now. If the bunt if a little more towards the line Hart walks in. Seems like a good option with Counsell at the plate. And yes, having those two back to back is quite nice.

How about this have Hart play centerfield and bring up Gamel to play right field.
Hart can play a decent RF, but every metric I have seen shows him below average there (at least that I remember). I think that putting him in CF would only accentuate those deficiencies.
