To be fair to Brian and Bill, Marquez has been inconsistent, to say the least.

That is a good case for expanded replay in baseball.

It would have taken less time to go watch the replay and change the call than it did for Roenicke to go out and argue, the umps to get together and keep the same call and then go explain to Roenicke why they're incompetent.

They need to just have someone sitting in the booth watching the TV. When there is a call that is controversial, that person can just call down and indicate the correct call. No need to waste time having the umpires on the field watch the replay. This person wouldn't need to be paid the same as the other umpires. Or even just have the official scorer do it, since they are supposed to be neutral (though not always the case; the CC non no-hitter comes to mind). Or I would do it for free.
