wow. sad. he was a big guy, but he obviously exercised. and a heart attack at only 34?

edit: ah, i see he had heart surgery in 2006 because of an enlarged aorta.

just the opposite, i remember wishing we took the risk on that European player named Nowitski.

I remember being happy we traded Dirk Nowinzki for him. Boy do I regret that one. Always sad to see someone go so suddenly, RIP Tractor Traylor.

Who would have thought that Don Nelson had perhaps the greatest draft ever that night? Traded Traylor for Nowitzki and Pat Garrity, flipped Garrity for Steve Nash. I can remember the excitement in Milwaukee, everyone LOVED Traylor.

Seems like the work stoppage really derailed his career. He had gotten himself into pretty great shape for the draft and that season, then came back after the work stoppage at roughly 500lbs, and never was the same. Gotta wonder about the career longevity for people who shape up just for a draft. he actually had some good tools: size (obviously), soft hands, decent touch within 5 ft, and was a good passer. He never developed a jumper though and then put on all the weight and was immobile.

now he is gone.
