Just an extra heads-up that we've archived all the various Tuesday pre- and post-game interviews at the tail end of the in-game thread. Included is a lengthy WSSP interview with Doug Melvin.

Melvin admits that Gomez isn't an ideal #2 hitter, but says that there aren't many options available. Says that he and Ron have discussed putting Lucroy into the two-slot but that it would be a lot to put on the plate of a young catcher. Says that Lucroy at the number two is still on the table and could still be implemented further down the line.

 

Other than that, not too much revelatory, just Melvin being his usual glum self.

I'm glad they are at least considering Lucroy for the 2 spot. It better happen if Hart continues to struggle. I'd at least like to see Lucroy hit 6th if Hart ends up in the 2 spot.
