I was actually at the gym too but had headphones in. He was very well spoken in general. He didn't come across as cocky or arrogant as he used to in interviews, which I appreciated and saw as a sign of maturity.

- Discussed the contract and his commitment to Milwaukee. He appreciates the team and the fans and wants to be a big part in maintaining a winning ballclub here.

- When asked about the possibility of Prince staying he said that the best thing they could do would be to make the playoffs. Extra excitement and money could mean an increased likelihood that the Brewers can keep him. That being said, Prince is an elite player who deserves to be paid like one.

- Credited the off-season workouts with Gabe Kapler for helping him increase bat speed and come into the season in really good shape.

- Talked about the mood in the clubhouse being better than last year, even after the losing streak. They feel that they are still a playoff team.

- When asked about RR and the changes in the clubhouse he credited him with being a good communicator and bringing a positive attitude. (It didn't take much to read between the lines here to find some comments about Macha, but he did it in a very classy way.)
