Another good night to be at the ballpark. We saw our ticket rep working the season ticket window, said hi and walked away with an unsolicited complimentary seat upgrade, from 417 to 125. Everyone give it up for Nate Hardwick! The only hassle was that seemingly everyone in the front half of 124 felt the need to spend like half the game standing and blocking our view. Still, it was fun to watch from a new angle, and no one was killed by a line drive (though a 9th inning foul did hit the seat in front of me).

I like Shaun Marcum, though I'm not sure why he ran out of gas so abruptly. When the guys in 124 weren't standing, we had a fine view of third base plays and pickoff attempts. I felt bad for a guy in an old-school Padres jersey who looked so down early in the game after yet another SD lame at-bat. And I have decided that I like New Noise accompanying John Axford. I think they tweaked the edit of the song for the better since its first play.

The roof was open and we only began to get chilly toward the end of the game. The fans left Ryan Ludwick alone.

The Brewers are now 6-2 in games we have attended in 2011. I don't know how long that will last, but I'll take it.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
