Marcum is the freakin' man. That is all.

Man, is he fun to watch pitch. I can't remember watching a Brewers pitcher who could induce so many ugly swings even though Marcum often tops out at 86-87mph. The guy flat out knows how to pitch and can command such a wide variety of pitches and at so many different speeds.

This game reminds me of the Atlanta series where it seems that tons of ground balls and bloops found a seam to sneak through. Tonight, we are getting lucky that so many grounders are finding a seam to sneak through.

Melvin should be interesting commenting on the minor league side.

The Brewers finally pick a day to tear the cover off the ball and pitch well...in the same game and I can't watch. Thanks DirecTV.

We aren't tearing the cover off the ball. It's just been one grounder after another which has been in the right spot to not be an out.

Did Bill just say Clayton Kershaw is really struggling out there?

Well, all these hits look a lot better on GameDay. Let me believe they're all solid hits...

Marcum 35 pitches thru 4 is incredible. I can't remember ever seeing a pitch count that low over 4 innings.
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

wow 6 runs in agame, when was the last time we scored 6 runs in a game.

I think last week we score 6 runs.

Total.

We no doubt weren't hitting the ball well on that brutal road trip, but a game like this and the Atlanta series are prime examples of how luck also factors in.

Practically everything the Brewers hit on that road trip was right at a defender, while at the same time Atlanta found every hole possible to turn possible outs into hits.

Here tonight though, we have 6 runs off 8 hits that many could have been outs had the grounders been hit a few more feet to the left or right. In fact, about 5 of those hits have been perfectly placed grounders between the thirdbaseman and SS.

That looks like an out to me, more good fortune.
