Axford looked ok but the Padres were chasing. Did he get his breaking ball in at all?
Yes. It wasn't great, but it was good enough. I know he got Cantu to miss one by a foot in the last AB.

I have to say, the Brewers didn't play hands down great, but won a game they "should" have won. Good Job Grienke on the first win. May you have many many more in a Brewers Uni

Fell asleep and missed the end of the game, but sounds like the end of the game was pretty exciting. Good start to the home stand.

Braun hit the ball well, but right to defenders (also drew a walk). Fielder had a nice double to the left field corner in his final AB, but didn't do anything in his first three (K and popup, don't remember the other AB).

Nice night. The LF bleacher fans were really letting Ryan Ludwick have it. He didn't help his cause by losing that ball hit by Gomez early on. I also heard at least one chorus of "Happy Birthday" sung to Prince.

Otherwise, I thought the crowd as a whole was appreciative, but hardly electric. Barely 27,000 for Greinke Night? Come on.

Did anyone think we'd have reason to exclaim, happily, over Yuni flashing the leather? I admit, I did not. In the immediate aftermath of that double play, though, had someone offered me a Betancourt shirsey, I might well have accepted.

Since we forgot that today was too late to exchange our Tuesday tickets forward, we'll probably go Tuesday and finally see Marcum pitch. So I'm happy about that.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I was watching the game and couldn't figure out if the pitch trax was off or the umpire was. It seemed like the whole zone was shifted to the right batters box all game.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.
