2011-05-07 Brewers (Gallardo) at Cardinals (Lohse) - [Brewers win, 4-0: Yo 8 IP, 1 hit]

I don't see anyway Roenicke doesn't bring him out for the 9th if he's "only" at like 120 and still has it going.
The key being, if he has it going. He seems to be missing on a lot of pitches in the last 2 innings.

It would be classic Brewers/small-market luck to have a very special pitching performance trumped in the national media by an even rarer, more special pitching performance on the same day.

Braun's BA dropped about 60 percentage points in the last week. He's scuffling and so is Prince.

Thats what happens when you can't work the count and swing at the first pitch. They have looked absolutely lost.

What the hell is Weeks thinking? He's still a really dumb baseball player.

Guaranteed that was called by RRR. Takes off on the 1st pitch. No way is that Weeks' call.

wow....if that's the case that's indefensible. Counsell hits Lohse really well and Molina is an absolute beast defensively.

Both guys were absolutely locked in though before this losing streak happened. I'm wondering if teams are pitching them differently.

I know the other day they were pitching them both inside.

I am for sure not feeling Kameron Loe here. Axford sounds good in the 9th but I don't know about Loe.
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

They were locked in but their approaches at the plate lately have been garbage. That will take you from locked to whatever it is they are getting now.

The Cards announcers with some remarks about how you could see Verlander throwing a no-no but not Gallardo.

I don't believe it. They're too classy to say things like that.

Worst managing and worst execution ever to bunt in that situation. Just baffling.
