Stinks to come out of that with no runs, but there were some pretty encouraging ABs, specifically Gomez laying off a close 3-2 pitch. More innings like that and they'll break through, or at least get to the bad Cards bullpen.

Bad throw from the cutoff to the infield, plus Pujols cut it off before it got to the catcher (which is why McGehee was out - he likely would've made it to 3rd if the ball went through).

The thing with Prince is that he can at least build some momentum, whereas Casey runs at just one consistent, slow speed.

I love this new, quick working Yovani. I've only watched a couple batters today so far, but he looks good. His fastball doesn't seem as straight as normal and that slider or whatever it is (not the big curve) looks nice.
