2011-05-06 Brewers (Wolf) at Cardinals (Garcia) - [Brewers lose, 6-0]

He certainly has to be the bright spot tonight. Hopefully this solidifies his spot in the pen for the remainder of the year.
Agreed. And hopefully this solidifies Green's spot in AAA for the remainder of the year. If I never see that 75 mph heater again it will be too soon.

I really don't consider myself a pessimist but I am starting to really hate the fact that the Brewers announcers seem to always think it's the pitchers' doing and not the Brewers hitting. Garcia wasn't hitting all his spots, he was out of the zone often, and the Brewers chased.

I honestly thought Garcia could have thrown a no-hitter by simply not throwing strikes.

wow. just wow.

Nice to see McClendon pitch like he belonged on the team from the beginning. Oh wait. He did belong on the team from the beginning (unless he was hurt or Roenicke was basing the team only on Spring Training stats or something.)

When will this end? Is this the beginning of the Seattle Mariner-ification (circa 2010) of the Milwaukee Brewers? Tune in tomorrow to find out.

I'll see you around then folks.

The good news is that despite his 2011 numbers, Kyle Lohse remains a not-very-good pitcher, unlike the guys the Brewers have been facing over the past week. It'd be nice to see some aggressions taken out tomorrow.

Well guys, I think it's time to hit the panic button. The Brewers now have to go 77-43 to finish 90-72. That's a .641 clip.

It's not that I think these guys are this bad. It's just that they've already dug a pretty big hole and I don't think they're nearly good enough to dig out of it.

My plan was to not watch the game or listen on the radio because I was getting frustrated and needed a break. On my way home from dinner I decided to sneek a listen on the radio only to hear Ueker say, "Garcia perfect through 7 and 2/3." Shook my head, laughed, and turned it off.

Also, with the winning under 85 is a major disapointment, I disagree with this, there was a 50/50 chance this team would finish with 85 wins or less, so I don't see how under 85 would be a major disapointment if it was a coin flip finishing above or below this line. (I say this because Vegas had the over/under for Brewer wins this year at 85.5)

Vegas makes those lines based on how it thinks people will bet not on actual talent of the team.

We aren't a good hitting team. We have 2 good hitters.
3 good hitters. You have to include Weeks. Almost any team in the majors would take Weeks, Braun or Fielder.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

COBrewerfan]We are 32 games in and people are already jumping ship. Wow. Guess the red sox and a host of other teams are done as well. Well at least there will be less people around for the rest of the year.

Get used to it, this is a yearly thing and it's part of being a fan.

I've succumbed to wearing my Packers jerseys while watching Brewer games....it makes me feel better.

I'm very glad I didn't watch this game last night. I listened to the first inning on the radio, and could already tell it was going to be another one of those nights like we've recently had. Watched season four of "Mad Men" on Blu-Ray with the wife instead and am probably more sane this morning because of it.

The Brewers have just faced 7 insanely unhittable pitchers during this losing streak. Because it is always the pitching that deserves the credit, right Rock? The terrible plate approaches have nothing to do with it...
