2011-05-02 Brewers (Gallardo) at Braves (Jurrjens) - 6:10 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 6-2]

It's about time their defense gives something up. It was a tough play but they already took away about 3 base hits.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

I have a hard time believing that was Braun's call. Not sure how we would know, but I would assume that was a run on contact play.

Doesn't really matter. Casey would have been thrown out and Braun would have scored on Hart's single and then scored on Yuni's triple.

Uneven outing by Yo but progress nonetheless

55 pitches thru 4, although I would pull him in the 6th or 7th regardless of pitch count to preserve the positive outing for confidence

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Late to the party, but I love the camera angle. You don't have to guess nearly as much when trying to tell if a pitch caught the corner or not. At first it might look like the pitcher blocks the view but his follow through opens the view up nicely.

Am I crazy or has Gomez gotten the last out of the inning a trillion times the past couple of days? Im sick of seeing Braun lead off with no runners on.

It sure seems that way. He really needs to be batting 10th (bench) or at worst 7th. Can't wait for Hart to get it cranked back up...

Come on and don't fret, Gomez runs fast and that's required in the two hole.

I really hope RR is as sick of watching Gomez at the plate as we are. He is awesome to watch in the field but good gracious. Outside of a 5 game stretch he has been brutal. I really hope Morgan is starting tommorrow.

Yeah, Gomez has basically been doing nothing at the plate. If be bats second again tomorrow, I'm going to break something.
strike outs have been down and BABIP is low right now at .275. Results haven't been there but he's better than his .233 avg right now. I wouldn't bat him 2nd but he's doing far from 'nothing'

You didn't keep a straight face while typing that did you? .277 OBP and a .587 OPS is about as close to nothing as you can get and still be in the starting lineup let alone the 2 hole.
