Why play the infield in there...I understand you don't want to give up a run on an infield grounder, but by pulling the infield in it makes it much more likely that that infield grounder sneakes through and becomes a two run single. I say get the out...we were already down by four.

Considering Yuni's range problems and lack of reaction time, moving him in seems like a questionable decision, to say the least.

As I type that, it's amazing how hot Braun is right now. I laughed when I saw the quote that's in my sig, but it might just be true.

"[baseball]'s a stupid game sometimes." -- Ryan Braun

great way to cap the night.

Don't want to jump to rash conclusions (although he looked like he was in a lot of pain), but what happens if casey is out for an extended period? Counsell/Almonte platoon?

thought about that right as i hit "post". I think my mind just jumped to a worst case scenario, which is any way that almonte is still on the team after the injured guys get back.

any update on Casey yet? Those losers on jsonline are saying he broke his thumb and is out for the year. please tell me that is not true.

It's not impossible, but I would hesitate to take the losers at jsonline at their collective word.
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

RRR said Narvy was sick so I would think that had something to do with his ineffectiveness. His pitches definitely didn't look as crisp as usual and his command was obviously off. I'm no mind reader, but Casey appeared to be pretty concerned about his thumb in the clubhouse. I really hope its not serious.

So, just so I know.. you're upset about Mark Kotsay starting. The guy who, after a very slow start is currently riding a .388 obp and has been .500 obp and.929 ops for the last 7 days and .414 obp and .734ops the last 2 weeks.

Gomez has a .356obp and a .786ops the last week and has looked pretty good lately and absolutely amazing in the field.

Maybe its time to lighten up a little and just enjoy some decent baseball

This is baseball, where a couple weeks of results means nothing. Go look up up how each has been the last 3 years and you will understand where their detractors are coming from. I will enjoy when either does well but that doesn't mean we should feel like they are the best choice to play.
