Sean Green should go

BrewCrew4ever
DiFelice is what the Brewers wish Green was... a right-handed specialist. He's a big weapon against the Cubs and Cardinals. I say he'll be up within a month because by then they won't be able to ignore his results in AAA. If nothing else, injuries/ineffectiveness happen frequently enough that I'd be shocked if he hasn't been called up by the All-Star Break.

DiFelice should/will be up within a month.
I doubt it. There's really no place for him once Saito and Parra come back. We'll have a full pen of Ax, Loe, Saito, Hawkins, Mitre, Braddock/Stetter, and Parra.
There's really no room for Parra either. There's still a mindset, expressed by Schroeder the other day that Parra would be snapped up quickly if put on waivers. Maybe, but if he was in such great demand, why not trade him? They certainly should not sweat exposing Green to waivers with DiFelice still around and two serviceable relievers already on the 40 man that can be called up any time in Kintzler and McClendon.

Does Stetter have options? He's been listed as having none or one already this season.

Given the Crew's desire to have depth, they will go send the player with options down if it is close, and they should, as a small advantage is meaningless with the small samples players see in a month.

Also, Green is not as good versus RH as DiFelice, but he's not nearly as bad versus LH's either. Mark has to get plenty of reps in AAA before it matters anyway. What's good to see is the Crew has several pitchers they look at as depth that would probably be on many other 25 man rosters. You can bet Estrada would be inserted into 12-15 rotations ASAP, yet he will be out as soon as Greinke returns.

A guy to keep an eye on in Nashville is Eulo De La Cruz, a rhp who has great velocity and has started out the season very strong with the Sounds. He could be up to help the Crew at some point (and yes, Al, I read your ramblings)

I'm not sure if Stetter's option year was officially burned (he has to be in the minors for X days), but he can bounce back and forth between AAA and MLB this year if need be.

mitch stetter had his contract purchased on 1 september 2007, the day when rosters could be expanded to 40. he made his major league debut that day. he finished the season on the big league roster.

he bounced between nashville and the mlb club in 2008, using his first option year.

he spent all of 2009 with the big league club.

he had two stints with the big league club in 2010, but spent the majority of the season in nashville. that burned his second option year.

he has been with the big league club the entire season thus far, with his third and final minor league option year still intact.

Dohhh... brain cramp. I forgot he made the team out of ST after that rash of injuries.
