Worst thing that could've happened to Gomez at the plate. He shows plate discipline on a high 3-1 pitch that is called a strike. Then he swings striking out on the pitch right after.

 

He's probably thinking...I'm hacking next time on 3-1 no matter what.

By the way, I read a tweet from someone who I cant remember and it said Braun actually called the women with the sign but her voicemail was full. Ouch.

I was at the ballpark tonight, awesome atmosphere. The standing ovation Braun received before his first at bat was an amazing experience. Lots of good offensive nights across the board. The Astros played some horrendous defense, but taking advantage of those lapses is important.

5K or 10K if he's a club member. It's pretty much all Uecker talked about in the 8th and 9th, especially after Yune's almost went out, there was a line drive with runners on 2d and 3d and they threw ball 4 to Gomez with the bases loaded. The guy is living right.
