Air Register Boosters

pitchleague

I'm finally going to try to fix an airflow problem in our house. My den/man cave is in the front of the house, the opposite end from the air conditioning unit. Once it starts getting hot outside, the room gets at least 10-15 degrees warmer than the rest of the house, even when the AC is running. Hardly any airflow is getting into the room through the ceiling-mounted register.

Anybody have any experience with a register booster fan module? I'm currently looking at this model with a 16-foot power adapter. Online reviews appear to be pretty mixed--some love it, some said it made a difference of only a few degrees, some said the fans are way too loud.

Anybody have any other recommendations? I've thought about those window covers that cut the amount of heat into your windows but that's a bit pricey. And I'm not going to get new duct work done with fans mounted inside unless I can get a bargain (which I'm not as of now.)

I've lived with it for 10 years but I'm getting sick of it.
