East Coast Road Trip

theavrock

Hey East Coasters, my guys and I are taking a road trip out to your neck of the woods and our looking for some tips on things to do that you can't find on a tourist website.

Possible Destinations:

Boston

NYC

DC

Philly

Virginia Beach

Jersey Shore

We are all 24 year olds and on our last trip we went to a bunch of ball games, whitewater rafted and went backcountry backpacking (as a reference point). We already have plans to catch games at Fenway and Yankee Stadium, but other suggestions for places in between would be great. Thanks guys!

I was out in Philly two summers ago and although this probably falls under the 'tourist website' category, you simply have to take down a philly cheese steak. I really enjoyed Citizen's Bank ballpark (although Fenway and Yankee Stadium might make it cower in comparison)

Try to get tickets to Conan or Letterman for when you'll be in NYC. I got to see a taping of Letterman and it was actually really cool.

Thanks Islands. I hadn't even thought of Conan but that would be awesome! Oh and one of my roomates is originally from Philly, so I have the hookup on the cheese steak situation. Any other ideas guys? Help a brother out!

When did you plan on going? If it is sometime this summer it will be nearly impossible to get tickets to letterman or conan now. Although, you would be able to sit in line in the morning and get fill in seats. That being said, you have to be there REALLY early..6-7 am at the latest. Wait in line until 9 or 10 and pick up the extra tickets numbers, then you go wait in ANOTHER LINE at like 2 before the taping. After that, if you get chosen there you are in like flynn. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Good luck and have fun.

If you're going to make it to virginia beach, you should just make it all the way to the outer banks in north carolina. it's absolutely amazing from what i've heard, but i haven't made it out yet due to a crazy work schedule.
