LOL, Almonte. Granted, he just faced a really good pitcher righty on righty, but that was pretty comical to watch. If he weren't a right handed bat, he wouldn't be here.

...yeah...Almonte is getting really hard to watch as a PH. He may be ok if he is getting ab's every single day (as in the spring) but he looks terrible at the plate right now...

That was Maddux-esque. You know the way that Maddux would see the opposing pitcher, and just pump fastballs on the outside corner until the pitcher grounded out weakly? He wouldn't even try to waste the pitches getting a strike-out.

Well, Halladay just took his frustrations out on Almonte. He threw three pitches over the plate, and Almonte had no chance at any of them.

Thankfully, he's just keeping the roster spot warm until Corey Hart returns.

Abstract thought: Did Halladay use up too much gas against the Nationals? Sure, the Nats just swept the Crew but he really didn't have it going tonight (though the Brewers offense had something to say about his outing as well)...

4 run cushion is really nice especially with a warn out bullpen and Axford struggling. Hopefully we can get to the 9th with a decent lead and when Axford comes in he can just throw 96 MPH fastballs down the middle of the plate instead of walking guys like he's done every game.
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

I'm following the game on MLB Gameday and I really like their new setup with the background of the home park and the computer image of the batter at the plate. But it always cracks me up when Prince is up and the image is of a left-handed batter that looks like he weighs about 190lbs.
