Haudricourt Tom

Report from Brevard County was that Greinke "felt great" and his velocity was 91-94 mph. The one hit was an infield hit.

I thought the problem was with Lucroy, but why does Wolf look like he has problems getting on the same page with catchers.

Wolf has a really complicated set of signs for some reason and he pitches sort of backwards compared to most pitchers so it is harder for him to get on the same page as the C.

If he can throw 60-70 pitches, I'd consider him ready. Shoot for 4-6 innings the first 2-3 times out before getting him to around 100 pitches.
He'll probably go 50-55 pitches next start, then 65-70 the last one. That way he should be good for 80-85 pitches in his first MLB start.

Well, Kotsay and Betancourt coming up. Rally over.
You shut your dirty mouth, PEM! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

All joking aside, it was really nice to see Kotsay work that count, and a nice swing to punch it into right field.

Prince needs to get the third on that single.

Ball was hit too hard...

Nah, that is a ball that 90% of baserunners end up on 3rd on except for big slow 1B and C. I'm not saying he should have gone on it but his lack of speed certainly cost a run right there.

That's a ball, with one out, a runner needs to take a chance and get to 3rd base. The ball was relatively deep, the right fielder was moving away from third base and he ended throwing the ball toward home plate.

That is where aggressive base running is needed. One out, bottom part of the order coming up...especially with the lead. That was poor. As a coach, that would be unacceptable on my team.

I should have been more clear as you said what I was thinking. It was hit too hard for a man w/ Prince's speed/lack of.
