2011-04-19 Brewers (Wolf) at Phillies (Halladay) - 6:05 PM CDT [Brewers win, 9-0]

McClendon is probably good for 2 innings, with Axford and Braddock maybe being able to go one apiece. That would probably still require Wolf to get through 5 innings, unless you have another starter throw an inning on a bullpen day, but I don't know if the doubleheader screwed that schedule up. Stetter and Green haven't thrown many pitches the past two days, but they've still had to get up and get warm two days in a row.

I find it funny that Wolf hates Lucroy for whatever reason, but he had his only good start of the year while Luc was catching him. This Gomez in the 2 hole is getting sickening. I would almost rather see Gomez lead off and have Rickie in the 2 hole until Hart is back.

Lucroy did just catch a full 12 inning game so it is not 100% surprising that he has the night off. Do I like it? No...but hopefully it helps keep his knees fresh.

Addition: I am hoping that this free-swinging team doesn't give Halladay a new personal best for K's this evening. Just have a bad feeling about this one...

I was wondering why he didn't challenge Ibanez's arm while he had momentum...I prefer that over challenging Ruiz's arm. Ibanez last night was reminding me of the old days with Gonzo in left the the Dbacks

Bill says you can't blame the Brewers for being aggressive early against Halladay.

Can I blame them for risking stupid outs at third when the best time to get Halladay is before he settles in?

Gomez is such and idiot. Why do you try to steal with 2 on and Prince up?
I'm assuming it was a called double steal. Get used to it, as Running Ron is going to be doing a lot of that all season. Gatta be aggressive! Gatta make things happen! Can't wait for the home run, as Billy would say! I mean, no high powered offense has ever won games!

Agreed. That steal attempt just makes no sense to me. For one, you never steal 3rd unless you know for sure you have it stolen easily. And two, you never steal with Prince at the plate.
