I was waiting when the first manager posts would come. Well I guess the under came in. It only took 16 games. It doesn't matter who manages, the minute there was a losing streak some would think he stinks and they know all the moves. It really is entertaining stuff.
It doesn't have anything to do with the losing streak. They're going to have those. It's making stupid moves, whether they work or not is irrelevant - the process is bad.

I absolutely know baseball very well having played in both HS and College. I will love the day that he is gone as the Brewers play in the National League...not the American League. You cannot continue to put all of that extra strain on your team with that shoddy of defense. It elevates the pitch counts, kills the morale and oh yeah, costs runs/wins. Sure, he can hit when he is going well...but when he is not he doesn't contribute one thing to this team.
Keep digging that hole...

Thanks...and I appreciate all that you added to the conversation with this post.

Please defend not using a lefty against Howard. Or still hitting Gomez second. Or playing Kotsay over Morgan before Morgan was injured.

Well, the fact that you seem to think Prince Fielder is not an asset to the offense means that this isn't even worth getting into an argument about. That's just blatantly incorrect.

to our offense can't know the game of baseball very well.

Yea, he's terrible defensively, but he's a fabulous hitter.

Nobody will argue that Prince is terrible defensively

It's you saying that he's not an asset to the offense which is pretty ridiculous

Bill just described Betancourt as an "athlete", I suppose that's true, but certainly not in the way Bill meant it.

Also said he makes some "acrobatic plays."

It's rare that between the 3 of us; my dad, my brother, and I will agree across the board on any topic sports related. My brother is typically the outlier, as he likes everyone I love to hate from Deon Sanders to Barry Bonds. However the 3 of us all have extreme dislike for Bill and his "bury this one in the dirt" comment every time the pitcher is ahead in the count, and it's a "pick on Bill for 3 hours affair" any time we watch a game together. If a pitch doesn't start out looking like a strike, a hitter typically isn't going to swing and basically it's just a wasted pitch. There's a wide gulf between a ball that buries in the dirt right behind home plate and one that hits around the catcher, but Bill treats them all the same.

I was really disappointed when his contract was renewed. I like BA, but I think BS pretty much follows his initials.

Well I hate Stetter so I would not trust him against anybody. Gomez probably should not be hitting second but with our lineup I am not sure who else there really is until Hart comes back. As for Kotsay I have no idea. Maybe he was just giving Kotsay a game? It's not that deep into the season so he is giving everybody their chance. That is the only one I am not sure about. So there you go. I guess there are different opinions out there and reasons behind these things.

Stetter isn't the only lefty in the pen.

maybe braddock wasn't available tonight (or at least they really didn't want to use him). he threw a lot of pitches yesterday, and his velocity wasn't great.

A lead-off walk always makes me uneasy.
