Hotels near Miller Park

PlayerHader

I'll be bringing a group of guys down for the game Friday and we've decided to stay in a hotel and make a night of it. We want to tailgate before the game and will probably head back to the hotel right after. We won't be looking to hit up the town after the game. Any suggestions for places nearby that are relatively easy to get to and to get to Miller Park? I found a couple of rooms at Best Western Woods View on National Ave. Know anything about that place?

Correction...after game bar options would be nice. Again, we don't need to go out downtown, but if there is something nearby if we choose to do that it would be a plus. Nothing fancy needed. Drinks, decent service, good people.

Woods in is near the West Allis area of town, lots of corner bars around that area within stumbling distance of your hotel.

Website said it was .67 from the Park. Is that right? Is it walkable or would that not be an option.

Also, what are the rules for exiting the parking area? We have preferred parking passes, and I know people often do some tailgating after games, as well. Is there a rule regarding when you have to be out of the lot? Couldn't find this info on the team's site.

THANKS!

Definitely walkable. 20 minutes maybe? If you're walking to the park you walk up to about 47th and National and cut through the VA grounds and you end up in the area outside right field. I've never stayed at Woods View but I'm sure it'll be fine. It's more of a "blue collar" area but it's safe. You'll be saving money there as opposed to staying at a hotel downtown. As far as how long you can hang around the parking lot I have friends that tailgate afterwards and stick around for an hour and a half or so. I don't believe there's a rule but you'll probably be asked to move along if you stick around much longer than that.
