kotsay and counsell have good career numbers against hernandez...i would have saved them for game 2.

 

should be fun watching weeks and gomez swing out of their shoes trying to hit the eephus 500 ft.

With this lineup, we are already off to a bad start. Not good at all. Counsell should've played both games, and Kotsay should've started the second game instead of the first. Plush would've started both if he wasn't hurt. Too bad. At least Werth isn't playing.

To be fair, Almonte shouldn't be on a major league roster, and used to play shortstop. Still, that was pretty embarrassing.

I thought Melvin held the belief that spring baseball league stats would only be considered to a certain extent when judging who makes the team. Almonte and Reed both made the team 100% because of their Spring stats. We see quickly that it has no bearing on the actual major league games that count, though.

Estrada's changeup looking pretty good early. Encouraging sign.

I really don't see Almonte lasting the season on this team anyway. We'll see a nice DFA and recall of Boggs eventually.

Estrada did a nice job of working around two defensive flubs in that first inning. If he can get through 6 again the Brewers will have a good chance in this one.

It always seems like Brewer pitchers throw 3 times as many pitches than the opponent in the first inning. I'm getting depressed about this team.
