This is a game where i expect Marcum to be great. Assuming it gets played of course. Marcum is finally settling in and this is where I think his passed experience against AL east teams will really help him out. I expect domination

Looking at the weather, it looks like there's almost no chance this game will be played. This will suck if it is postponed. 2 days in a row with no game. Boo! On the bright side, Wednesday and Thursday look fine. So they can probably get all 3 games in over those 2 days. This will mess up our rotation a little bit though.

I live in Pittsburgh and I'd say no go for tonight. It's a steady rain and I just don't see it happening. It's not pouring per se, but a steady medium rain.

Put another way - If I was going to the game tonight, I wouldn't be going.

Then again it is only 2:15, so 5 hours from now...who knows what it will be like. but everything is soaked right now

Why isn't Morgan playing, Does Roenicke want to waste his hot streak? he isn't going to stay hot forever. Oh well at least we got Lucroy back.
If whoever is in RF slips on the wet grass and pulls a muscle, who would you rather it be? Just trying to find a silver lining.
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Seriously, Morgan on the bench again? This is really irritating me. The man is hot and he rides the pine so Kotsay can play. Plus there is a lefty going tomorrow, so Morgan likely won't play then either.

This is just poor baseball strategy and it is very irritating. Guy is hot, hitting almost .500 and he's going to not start in THREE straight games. Not to mention the fact that he's much better defensively in a spacious outfield than Kotsay. Very, very irritating.

I can't think of any logical reason to play Kotsay over Morgan. It's not even two weeks into the season, but this is the kind of stuff that is driving me nuts about Roenicke.

Ya know I like your strategy. I'm thinking tonight we should start Nieves in Right http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I've always been pretty neutral about managers, but Roeneckie is really getting under my skin quick. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt because he just got on the job, but his insistence on starting Kotsay ahead of a superior player in Morgan makes me deeply question his capacity to manage a major league ball club.

It was reported that during his interview with Doug Melvin he said "I don't have a lot of experience, but I've experienced a lot." You're right, Ron. You don't have a lot of experience, and that is certainly manifesting itself these first few weeks of the season.

Kotsay on the DL would be a good thing for this team.

I'll take the doubleheader. That seems like the only way we can get Kotsay on the bench for a game.

Seriously, what is Roenicke thinking with Kotsay? Heck, if anything why not sit Gomez and play Plush in CF against righties? Melvin has to know better, right? At what point does he call up Ronny boy and tell him to get Plush in the outfield against righties?

Bummer. Really looking forward to getting into "every day with the Brewers" mode. Much as I like listening to the radio, the spotty TV situation at the start of the season has sort of stunted my enthusiasm just a tad and consecutive off-days don't help either.

The siliver-lining mode has me very happy the national face of the Brewers on ESPN Monday Night Baseball against Halladay won't be Randy Wolf (as presently pitching). Right? Or does Estrada get skipped now?

It is the Pirates, but I'd prefer to make up this game in August when Greinke and Hart are (presumably) healthy. Saw it mentioned elsewhere (maybe Toby on Twitter?) that this could also push Marcum's next start into the Philadelphia series, which would be a help there.

But personally, another night without Brewers baseball stinks.
