Quade complains about stolen base

The #1 unwritten rule is: don't whine about unwritten rules.

Curses! The rule has now been written...

I thought the first two unwritten rules were that you don't talk about the unwritten rules.

Again, like it or not, baseball has been around for over 100 years and there ARE unwritten rules. you may not like it, or acknowledge that, but managers, coached, and players do. Yes, many of them may seem stupid. If you pose after hitting a HR, you'll probably get plunked at some point. With that said, 5th inning???? Are you kidding? You don't steal late in the game with a big lead (although LATE and BIG are subjective.) 5th inning all bets are off. I think Quade DOES need to find a book.

Saw video of him after the crubs latest loss.. Geez does this guy wanna be Scioscia lite or what?

Anyone remember when Davy Lopes got grief for complaining about something similar?

EDIT - OH, wasn't it against Ricky Henderson?

I would like to complain. There are unwritten rules that managers should not be idiots, right? Probably not, but there *should* be. Screw it, I'm officially announcing that there are unwritten rules about managers (they're not written, so who can fact-check me?). One is that they aren't allowed to be knuckleheads that don't grasp the current offensive environment, and that it's not 1938. Teams can score runs in bunches, and 5 runs isn't an insurmountable lead. Also, shut up, Mike Quade. You are sounding more & more like an idiot.

The more Quade complains and acts like any team thumping the Cubs doesn't know how to play the game "by the book", the more I think the Cubs got themselves the absolute best guy to manage the loveable losers - if you're a fan of another team in their division. His act to please the meatballs is going to get tired really quick when he doesn't have a good enough team to win consistently.
