Well this is unexpected, 2-1 so far vs the ATL, and Ax settled in nicely.

Good bounce-back outing for the Ax Man. That leadoff walk was ugly, but it was huge coming back with K, groundout (should have been GIDP), pop fly. It was also nice to see the bats come (sort of ) alive, especially with RISP.

Estrada did a nice job tonight. Sets up the bullpen nicely for Marcum tomorrow, even though hopefully we won't need too many outs from the bullpen.

It would be nice to take three, but having the split secured is a good feeling.

That was not a hit and run in the bot of the 8th, you don't do that with two strikes. Guessing Morgan has a green light.

If YB charges that ball his momentum is going forward and he does not have much of a play at 2nd. Don't think he could do much on that.

Estrada pitched great for his abilities. I think he did more than we could expect. Jay Hey crushed a ball off him, that's going to happen to even really good pitchers. I think we should have maybe had a guy getting loose going in to that inning but he cruised the inning before so you really can't blame RRR for keeping him out there.

Great win for the crew, I'm really happy with it. Good games for GoGo, YB, and Kotz, the three most hated Brewers so far! Hope you guys give them their props.

A fast left handed hitter hit a soft chopper to SS on that play so there was zero chance of turning a double play there. But Yuni should've charged the ball so he didn't hang Rick out to dry

we beat a very good team using a minor league pitcher, a AAAA catcher, a RF who should be retired and Carlos Gomez in CF. Gotta love it

and thank you for intentionally walking Nieves! that was almost as hilarious as Estrada starting to head to the plate without a bat!

Completely agree. It was a very slow chopper so he had to negotiate the hops. If he charges, he's in no position to turn back and get the runner at second. I think people are just picking on him because he's YuBet. Overall, while his range has obviously been limited, he's played alright in the field so far. Nice to see him hitting this series, too.

On the whole, it was a well played game. The only thing that really got me annoyed was how Gomez went into home with no intention of actually scoring, but rather trying to elbow McCann's glove. While it's sometimes tough to make such a quick decision, he needs to be a bit more aware there and just slide.

I was at the game too but left at the top of the 9th. The crowd was very lame all night - didn't seem like the few people that were there were very interested in the game. The annoying guys a row behind me were much more into collecting dollars for a sausage race pool.

I wish Rage would've won, maybe it'll get used later. Good game, but from my viewpoint we were gifted that Prince Fielder run - he looked extremely out to me... even though I was way up in the Terrace Box.

I was at the game tonight. No one seemed to be into New Noise. Nothing will ever match Hells Bells, but it seemed dead to me.
Well, the crowd was barely half the size of Monday's. I thought that was New Noise being played. Did they play the beginning of the song, or a few minutes in as Right Field Bleachers suggested? It didn't sound like I'd expected, though I'm not an expert.

It's weird how we've been present for every one of YuBet's hits this young season; now also Mark Kotsay's. Indeed, the JV-style lineups seem to do a passable job when we are at games. Marco (Bob once said Erik) Estrada kind of pitched like an injury callup, but so did Minor. Marco has also changed uniform numbers again, wearing #41 for this start. Anyway, I think it's time for the Brewers to recognize our worth to the organization and pay us to follow the team in person all season.

Scoreboard note: I found a place where the Brewers are at least attempting to show scoring plays. At the end of some plays tonight they temporarily replaced the pitch count at each end of the ribbon board with the SACRIFICE or F-8 or 6-4-3 or whatever. I don't remember noticing that on Monday. Unfortunately, they didn't do it for all plays (and never for the last of a half-inning) and sometimes when they did, they either lost control or lost track of the pitch count - it was often incorrect. I still think they should be able to carve some space out of that huge videoboard for a few seconds per play of scoring decision.

1-1 now for the hawing season tickets. We're off the schneid too!

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

OMG... Uke's calling Marco Estrada, Erik Estrada was too funny... I was almost asleep at that point.. and I think I woke the wife up.

If you didn't hear it.. you should... It's gotta be out there some where...

Ueck was on fire with the Erik Estrada bit. After the game, he said it again and said that Erik was thanking them for all the publicity. Then, as they came back from commercial, Ueck was pretending to be on the phone, "hey Erik, no, I'm doing the post-game show, I'll call you back later. Hey folks! we're back..." Provus was just giggling like a schoolgirl in the background.

Ueck was great last night. My two favorites were....

"Ya, shoulder surgery hurts.....especially when you do it yourself......it's tough because everything in the mirror is backwards."

"Brian Wilson's beard is blacker than black.......looks like he was laying face down in shoe polish."

Oops - I was wrong about the ninth inning GB. I stand by my statement that Axford looked good, though - other than nibbling in the Heyward at-bat, he did well.

It helps that after Heyward he faced 7-8-PH (can somebody explain to me why Atlanta's best hitter is batting sixth?), but that's no given, as Ramon Hernandez proved on Thursday.
