Time has been corrected in the thread title and first post.

Interesting note from Tom Haudricourt -- when they were piecing together the schedule for this year, the Reds had the choice of scheduling this as a day game or going up against a Final Four game, and they chose the latter. It's not like a sizeable portion of the Cincinnati fanbase also happen to be huge Kentucky fans or anything.

Really looking forward to seeing Marcum pitch live. So far have only seen clips of him from mlb.com. Would be nice for him to go 6 or 7 innings and the Brewers offense get a nice lead. I would be nervous to leave it up to Randy Wolf tomorrow to stop us from getting swept.

For those of us in central WI with Charter cable, the game is currently listed in SD on channel 87 EXTRA. Not sure if it is actually going to be on or not, but it's listed.

Note--this is not an actual MLB Extra Innings channel since that is not available in this area.

Everything I've ever known, I've learned from Brewerfan.net....Seriously though

For Time Warner people, the game is listed on the FSN alternate channel 310, at least it is up here in the Fox Valley. So glad they're making this game available to people outside of the WMLW viewing area!

Can't wait to see Marcum! Almonte gets the nod instead of Morgan...interesting.
If you look at his splits, Morgan really should never start against lefties, unless its an emergency or he's the only option. Morgan hits well against right-handers, not so much against Lefties... I do love watching Ryan Braun bat against left-handers

Really looking forward to watching the game tonight (even if it is on WMLW). I had recorded the game on Thursday but was in too bad of a mood to watch it after following along live on gameday. A great start by Marcum is exactly what I need after the spring training injuries and opening day disappointment.

I'm very intrigued by this whole Kottaras-Nieves thing. Alot of folks here on Brewerfan.net insist that Kottaras will remain the backup catcher when Lucroy returns, but if that is the case, why isn't Kottaras getting a start in these first 2 games? (Kottaras will start tommorow, apparently).... Nieves is an impressive defensive catcher but historically Kottaras is a vastly better hitter than Nieves.... I suppose I could see sitting Kottaras versus a lefty... I'm concerned that Kottaras will be let go when Lucroy returns, which I think would be a real mistake

Guys, the only reason Almonte is starting is because it's a lefty pitcher. None of the other guys should be starting against lefties anyway. This doesn't mean that Almonte is ahead of Morgan and Reed on the bench.

I realize Almonte's starting because of the lefty, and I really don't have much of a problem with it until Hart is back. I was just noting the interesting roster decision where the Brewers apparently have 6 outfielders and only 1 back-up infielder. Plus, it seems a little embarrassing that the Brewers are trotting out a DH and a 33 yr.old AAAA guy to play RF until Hart returns. At least Morgan and Reed can play defense.
