it was on this date in 1970 (quite late in the evening) that bud selig learned that he and his group had acquired the seattle pilots and that in scant days, the team would be re-christened at milwaukee county stadium as the american league milwaukee brewers.

 

thank you, mr. selig. words alone cannot express what you have done for all of us.
