Ben Sheets Pitches Perfect Game with 22 K's!

bthurley19
In MLB 2K7 that is. Just got the game for XBOX 360 and the second game I play I pitched a perfect game with 22 K's against the Reds. Anyone else have some unbelievable games in 2K7 or in any other baseball game?

Mark Prior (as a Devil Ray) just threw 3 straight perfect games for me to break Johnny Vandermeer's unbreakable record.

Probably time to up the difficulty level. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

peavey beat me to it. I used to win games like that all the time in MVP 2005 then lost serious interest fast as a result. Now that I've got the 2007 mod (for PC) I play along with the real schedule with realistic results and stats. I couldn't be happier with a video game of baseball (maybe RBI Baseball).

I just don't see the point of playing a baseball (or any sports game) on the easiest level (or a skill level that you can still dominate).

Congrats, though, on the accomplishment! You've done something I have not done.

I have MLB 2K7 on the 360 as well, and ya, I've had to up the difficulty level a couple of times now. The difficulty levels aren't impossible leaps like they are a lot of the time in EA games. I do like to make sports games oddly challenging as well. A lot of times in football games I'll intentionally get down big in the first half, and see if I can come back. What I've done recently in 2K7 is simmed out the season to near the end a couple of times, until I had the Crew to the last week of the season, trailing the Cards by 2.5 games and I'm working on taking the division then. I think its more fun that way.

By the way, did anyone notice in MLB 2K7, there's a Hall of Fame and they have Yount as a Cubbie?! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif

chadomac, I do not believe the 2007 mod is for anything other than PC. You may be able to get rosters for the gamecube but the mvpmods.com or eamods.com sites that I frequent only have rosters for PS2 and XBox, IIRC.

I wish I liked the 2K games... 2K6 was terrible... 2K7 was better but I still love MVP 05. I can't wait til 2012 for another good baseball game.

I think I'm going to have to end up creating about 9 players for my MVP 05 game. Junior Spivey, Russel Branyan, and Wes Helms just aren't cutting it.

I have MLB 07: The Show for PS2, and really like it so far. My career player on "The Road to the Show" is having a breakout year...he spent his first three seasons kind of as a journeyman/utility type, playing one season with the Brewers and two with the Mets organization. He's finally a daily 2B for the Padres, and is like, third in the NL in batting. I'm playing on veteran mode, after using rookie for quite a while, so I don't know if I have to jump up the difficulty yet...I still have a lot of "O-fer" games, but I usually make up for it by bouncing back with a 2for3 or 2for4 game. Only 9 runs so far this season (I'm just before the All-Star break in 2010), so it's not like I'm killing the ball.

My favorite moment so far was Carl Crawford getting thrown out of a game by the umpire, after I threw him out at 1B http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

The other funny thing I've noticed is where some of the Brewers end up...in my game (season 2010), Jenkins is now a Cardinal (the Brewers let him go after his contract expired, and he signed a multi-year deal with St. Louis). More freakily, Corey Koskie and Ben Sheets are both now in Yankees pinstripes. Hopefully not a sign of things to come!
