2011-03-02 Cubs (Silva) at Brewers (Gallardo); [Brewers win, 12-5]

Mass Haas
Was a fun game today. Don't worry about Yo too much, he threw 2 curveballs, and the rest fastballs. Struck out Pena and Soriano on nothing but fastballs. Looked like everything was low in the zone. Looked pretty good. Velocity was 91-92, but just looked like he was working on controlling the fastball today. Silva on the other hand, threw the kitchen sink at the Brewers and they kept throwing it back at his head. Couldn't see the Cubs dugout from where I was, but I heard a lot of non family friendly language, so you definitely knew something was going on. And, my favorite prospect, Mike Fiers was on fire again. Dude just pounds the strikezone. Became my favorite prospect after I saw him last spring training, and I really like watching him throw.

Today was my first opportunity of the spring to listen to, at least some, of the game on the radio. *sniff* I promised myself I wouldn't cry. I only caught an inning or two, but I think I heard the best part of the broadcast from Ueck. When talking about about Sorianos good year with the nats, before he signed with the cubs, he was talking about how many stolen bases he had. It went something like this: "He had 40...40something. (pause) He had 130. But that includes the offseason department store ones."
Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."
