Rob Neyer leaves ESPN, goes to SBnation

I used to read him all the time, but I guess I just faded away. For awhile I think he was part of the ESPN Insider stuff--maybe he was up until the end--I just never bought into that.

Between Jon Heyman, Tom Verducci, Bill Madden, Joe Posnanski, the stuff on MLB.com, the Hardball Times, Yahoo. . .I just don't know how much time there is left to read. Plus I listen to the MLB Fantasy 411 podcasts, some occasional ESPN Fantasy Baseball podcasts. . .there's no shortage of material to keep me happy.

Years ago I sought ought and bought the National Sports Daily newspaper, which was the best of the best. . .but it was so content loaded that I couldn't finish it--and then another one came out the next day.

Still, I hope to get Neyer back into my rotation. Surprised that ESPN let him go.

Hmmm I guess I must not be that big a fan of Neyer, since I didn't know he was out there for free.

I'll give him another read. . .

The one complaint that I have about some of the Sabermetric guys (Joe Sheehan comes to mind) is the overconfidence that I sense in their writing. . .as though their research is undeniable, and that if you disagree with their premise, then you're just wrong.
